YRC Worldwide in Discussions With IBT

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Nov. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Last Tuesday YRC Worldwide (Nasdaq:YRCW) management met with officials of local unions affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT). Since then, there has been an ongoing dialogue between the Company and the IBT. Today, we understand that local unions have indicated support for the Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee (TNFINC) to begin discussions about the company's financial future. The company is looking to extend the current contract for 5 years from ratification and achieve cost savings for YRC Freight, Holland, Reddaway and New Penn.  The current contract is set to expire on March 31, 2015.
