HOLLAND, Mich., Dec. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Holland has been recognized with the Parker Hannifin 2015 LTL Carrier of the Year award. Joe Bocian, Director Global Logistics and Transportation at Parker and Reed Tepper, Corporate Logistics and Transportation at Parker presented the award to Jim Ferguson, Holland Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In addition to raw performance numbers, carriers were measured based upon the results of an annual customer service survey taken by representatives from all of the company's North American shipping locations. Parker evaluated less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers across a variety of service and performance measures including on-time service, claims performance, continuous improvement participation, electronic data interchange invoicing compliance, billing accuracy and customer service.

"They say good things come in threes, and that is certainly the case with this much-appreciated award from Parker," said Ferguson. "On behalf of everyone at Holland who played a part in providing our award-winning service, I'd like to express my thanks to Parker for this honor. And to those same Holland team members, thank you for doing what it takes to create the Holland Difference."

This year, in addition to earning three Quest for Quality awards from Logistics Management magazine, Holland was presented with Carrier of the Year awards from BNSF, Toyota, Echo Global Logistics, GlobalTranz, M33, Vehicle Service Group and Transplace.
