98 Employees Recognized for a Combined 138 Million Miles of Accident-Free Driving
11 Employees Recognized for a Combined 268 Years of Injury-Free Work Experience
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., May 19, 2014 - YRC Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: YRCW) announced today that the YRC Freight distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina celebrated safety achievements of 109 employees including 138 million miles of accident-free driving and a combined 268 years of injury-free work experience. Company officials joined local YRC Freight leadership for the event that took place in Charlotte.
"The Charlotte team members are champions of safety and service. It is a great tribute to their teamwork and dedication to have five drivers reach three million accident-free miles, 30 drivers reach two million accident-free miles and 63 drivers reach one million accident-free miles. In addition, there are 11 employees who have achieved a combined 268 years of injury-free work experience, which is remarkable," said YRC Freight President Darren Hawkins. "The Charlotte team is powering YRC Freight forward with the twin goals of safety and providing the best possible service for our customers.
