Yellow Corporation Announces New Senior Vice PresidentOVERLAND PARK, Kan., Aug 29, 2002 -- Bill Zollars, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Yellow Corporation (Nasdaq: YELL), announced today that Daniel J. Churay has been named senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of the corporation. The appointment takes effect September 3, 2002.
Churay comes to Yellow Corporation from the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in Houston, where he has served as senior counsel, specializing in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and international law. Prior to that, Churay was deputy general counsel and assistant secretary of Baker Hughes Incorporated, a global, oilfield services company.
"Dan is coming on board in time to work with Bill Martin, before Bill retires at the end of October," says Zollars. "Bill has been with Yellow for 23 years and his contributions to the company helped to enhance the future of our organization. Churay received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was special projects editor of the Houston Law Review.
