Holland Receives 2009 Supplier Excellence Award from Eastman Chemical Company
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., May 14, 2010 - Holland, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: YRCW), has received a 2009 Supplier Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year from Eastman Chemical Company as part of the Eastman Supplier Excellence Program (ESEP).
Honored for outstanding contributions in the areas of logistics shipping performance and meeting customer service expectations, Holland accepted the award at a luncheon held April 29 in Kingsport, Tenn.
To determine honorees, Eastman Chemical Company ranked its suppliers based on five key criteria: on-time performance, nonconformance, complaints, safety and claims. In 2009, Holland achieved an overall performance score of 96.8% and an on-time performance score of 98.8% -- the highest scores given to any LTL carrier.
